1.  Do I need a wedding planner?

With the average wedding taking 200 hours plus to organise, there's a reason wedding planning has been voted the 7th most stressful life event in the UK.  Enlisting the services of a professional wedding planner will help save you time, money and stress!  From choosing the venue, creating a personlised style, managing the budget, hiring the best wedding professionals, choosing invitations, creating detailed schedules, and managing all the logistics on the wedding day - a wedding planner will be with you every step of the way, giving you piece of mind that every little detail is taken care of.

2.  Why do i need a wedding planner if my venue has a coordinator?

A wedding planner will be with you throughout the whole planning process, potentially 18 months prior to the actual wedding day.  They will get to know their clients and work with them to deliver their vision of their dream wedding day.  The planner is hired directly by the couple and will work with them to define a budget and advise and guide them on choosing suppliers, reviewing contracts and making sure everything goes smoothly through the planning process, right through to the day itself.

The venue coordinator has a very different role from a wedding planner and is employed by the venue itself.  Their primary focus is therefore the venue, acting as a point of contact for the couple and liasing between them and the on-site operations team. They may be able to give some planning advice and recommend potential suppliers, but they will not plan your wedding for you or take care of everything on the wedding day.

3.  Do you only work with certain venues & suppliers?

I work with a selection of tried and tested suppliers who.

However, if there is a certain venue or supplier that you wish to use I woud of course work to accomodate this.

4. how will i know who the right wedding planner is for me & my wedding?

This really is a personal choice.  You will be working closely with this person and entrusting your wedding day with them, important to meet them first and see if they are a good fit for you.

5.  is there a minimum budget that you work with?

Open to planning weddings of all shapes, sizes and budgets.

6.  How much do you charge?

I do not offer set packages as every wedding is unique.  The cost for my services are therefore based on each clients specific needs and requirements and a set % of the wedding budget.  A minimum fee will apply, which is dependent on guest numbers, location and logistical arrangements.

7.  do you take commision from wedding suppliers that you book?

No, I do not take comission from the suppliers that are booked for your wedding.  When recommending suppliers to you, this will be based on their quality of service, professionalism and because we feel that they will be a perfect fit for your wedding.

8.  will i still feel in control if i hire a wedding planner?

Absolutely!   It's your wedding and you can be involved as much or as little as you want in the planning process.  We'll work together from the outset to get that balance right.  My role as your wedding planner is to help guide and support your decisions and save you time and energy, but all final decisions will rest with you.

10. in what locations do you offer wedding planning?

I am based in Glasgow, Scotland and offer wedding planning and destination wedding planning services throughout central Scotland and beyond.

11.  how many weddings do you work on at once?

I devote a huge amount of time and energy to every wedding I undertake, so I book a very limited number of full plan weddings each year. It’s therefore a good idea to get in touch as soon as possible to ensure my availability.

12. do you charge extra for travel & accommodation?

The majority of my travel and accommodation costs are included within my planning fees.  This may be affected by wedding location and other factors, however these would be established with you at our first consultation and you will be advised if any additional expenses may be applied.
